Hiro and Ando are chased, and ultimately abducted, by armed thugs in a Parkhaus in New York. After they are forced into the men's van, they speak to the leader of the operation. Hiro tells him that he's on a very important mission. The man claims to know all about Hiro's mission, and says he works for a man with true power. He offers Hiro and Ando tickets back to Japan; when they refuse, the man says his boss won't like it.

At Port Washington Hafen, the van pulls to a stop next to a parked sedan. The man opens the door of the van and presents his captives to his boss: Hiro's father, Kaito Nakamura.

"I know all about your so-called mission to save the world, Mr. Nakamura. You think you have a power and that you can use it to make a difference. You are... WRONG."

"Who are you?"

"I work for someone... who has true power. A man who knows what you're up to. And wants you... to stop."
