Vier Jahre in der Zukunft, tritt Claire Peter Petrelli gegenüber, er sagt dass er zurück gehen kann und die Massenvernichtung von Menschen mit weiterentwickelten Fähigkeiten verhindern kann, wenn sie ihm vertraut. Claire erwidert darauf, dass sie ihn immer geliebt hat, Peter stoppt mit Hilfe von Hiro Nakamuras Fähigkeit der Raum-Zeit Manipulation die Zeit bevor ihn Claires Kugel trifft, dann nimmt er ihre Waffe und reist in die Gegenwart zu Nathans Pressekonferenz. Als die Zeit wieder normal weiterläuft, ist Claire überrascht dass Peter und ihre Waffe verschwunden sind.

Tödlicher Hunger

Future Peter transports his present day counter-part to the future. Once there, he tells Peter about a formula that can give people abilities. He goes on to explain that only Peter can fix the problem because he "stepped on too many butterflies". As he starts to explain how "lines have been made", he is shot twice in the chest and killed. When Peter turns around to find the shooter, he is surprised to see that it is Claire. Claire stares at Peter in disbelief for a few seconds before she lifts her gun once again to shoot him. Peter runs off as Claire fires at him.

A while later, Claire is seen in a morgue staring down at Future Peter dead body when Daphne and Knox enter the room. Daphne is amazed that Claire has finally killed Peter. Before Daphne can go any further, Claire tells her that there were two Peters at the scene and that the younger one is still alive. Claire then goes on to say that they need Molly to find him. Daphne tells Claire that it won't be that simple, only for Knox to say that he'll ask if she doesn't. Claire ends the disagreement by telling Daphne that they need to find Peter because if they don’t, he won’t ever stop.

After Daphne was able to convince Matt to allow Molly to help them locate Peter, she exits her apartment and tells Claire that Peter is in Costa Verde. Immediately Claire knows that Peter is with Sylar. Knox remarks that he can feel her fear and he asks her why she’s afraid since she is never afraid. Claire responds by saying that she just killed her uncle and now has to do it again, so he should give her a break. Knox grabs her as she is walking away and tell her that she had better get her act straight because while she can’t get hurt, they can.

Once in Costa Verde, they enter Gabriel’s house and Knox gets Peter and Gabriel attention by holding Noah hostage. Claire then enters the room and points her gun at Peter. She tells them that they will leave the boy alone if Peter goes with them. Gabriel tries to convince Peter to go back to his time, but he refuses, saying that he "brought this into [his] house". Claire exclaims that this was her house but that Gabriel took it from her, just like everything else. Gabriel tries to apologize, but Claire won’t hear it and aims her gun at Noah. Peter asks "how did [she] get this way" and Claire explains that she learned how to take care of herself. She then aims her gun at Gabriel, but Peter speeds over to her and knocks her out. A fight ensues and Noah is killed in the process. Claire finally regains consciousness and takes aim as Gabriel is about to explode, but it’s too late and Costa Verde is destroyed.

Claire and Peter survive the explosion and Peter is taken back to base. Once there, Claire begins to cut Peter's body, saying that she is wants him to feel "every single death" that happened in Costa Verde. Peter tries to convince her that he can change what happened, but Claire ignores him. However, before she can continue, Nathan enters the room and tells Claire to stop and leave so that he can "have a moment with [his] brother". Claire ask if Nathan is asking this as the President or her father. He responds with "both" and Claire leaves the room.

In 2010, Claire comes to visit Peter. During the visit, Claire and Peter argue about what she does for a living. Claire responds to his concern by saying that she cannot feel pain, and he responds by saying that her reason is not good enough.

A few days later, Claire is at Pinehearst headquarters, talking to Daphne about catching criminal, when an explosion happens. Everyone in the area is killed with the exception of Claire (who was able to regenerate) and Daphne (who fled the scene).

A week after the explosion, Claire attacks a terrorist cell located in Albany, Oregon. As she enters the room that the terrorist are at, she shoots at two of them, killing one instantly. The third terrorist tries to overpower her, but Claire activates the grenade he had clipped to his pants, causing an explosion. Claire survives and is surprised to find that one of the people she shot is still alive. The surviving terrorist tells her that this is not who she is, to this, Claire response by saying “it’s starting to be”. A fight ensues and the terrorist eventually reveals himself to be her uncle, Peter. Claire is shocked by this and asks why he's doing this when he is supposed to be a good guy. Peter response that if he has to kill 200 people to save 2 million people, then he will. Before Peter teleports away, he tells Claire to be careful. Afterwards, Claire is left standing in the room surrounded by webstrings with picture of Mohinder, Tracy, Nathan and the Haitian. Claire then tells herself that love doesn’t stay and that Peter has to die.
